First cup game Fortuna Women in Nederweert-Eind
On Sunday, February 26, Fortuna Women will play the first match in the KNVB Cup at 15:00. The opponent in the eighth finals is leaguemate PEC Zwolle.
Head coach Roger Reijners' team normally plays its home matches at the Fortuna Sittard Stadium. Because the Fortuna men's team is playing at home on the same day against Feyenoord, the cup game will be played at Sportpark Op de Hooven in Nederweert-Eind. The yellow-green team has been to the Midden-Limburg fields several times during the preparation.
Both teams have already faced each other twice in the debut season of the Sittard formation. The first game was won 2-5 in Zwolle and marked a historic moment. It was in fact the first Eredivisie victory for Fortuna Vrouwen. In the most recent encounter a draw was played at home: 2-2.
The match against Zwolle is free to attend for everyone. All supporters can take a seat behind the boarding or in the stands of the sports complex. Showing a physical or digital ticket is therefore not necessary.
