Shirt auction raises thousands of euros

Fortuna's special jerseys have raised thousands of euros for the victims of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. On the jerseys, main sponsor BetCity was a one-time substitute for Giro555.

With this initiative, club and players wanted to draw attention to the situation in both affected countries. Fortuna performed in the away match against FC Emmen in the special shirts. Immediately after the match the shirts were auctioned via MatchWornShirts.

The counter eventually amounted to over ten thousand euros. Fortuna will transfer the entire proceeds to Giro555. We would like to thank all supporters and sponsors who -in whatever form- have contributed, as well as main sponsor BetCity for donating their spot on the shirts.
